Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

01 Information we collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:

  • Account data — your name, email address, and other details you provide when registering or using our services.
  • Usage data — information about how you interact with the platform, including log data, device information, and usage patterns.
  • Project data — the firmware, configurations, and projects you create or upload to run simulations.

02 Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the platform is used — page views, feature usage, and similar product analytics. This helps us decide what to build and fix. Analytics data is tied to usage patterns, not to the content of your projects.

03 Storage & hosting

User data is stored with Supabase, and our services are hosted on Hetzner infrastructure. Both providers maintain industry-standard security and compliance practices.

04 Data sharing & disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data with third parties only in these circumstances:

  • Legal requirements — to comply with legal obligations, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Simulator86 or others.
  • Service providers — trusted third parties that help us operate the platform, bound to protect your data and use it only for purposes related to our service.

05 AI features

AI-assisted features (such as prompt-to-project and AI debugging) are powered by large language models from providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. Your prompts and relevant project context are sent to these providers only when you actively use an AI feature. Team and Enterprise plans can bring their own API key (BYOK), in which case AI requests go through your own provider account.

06 Data security

We implement a variety of security measures to protect your personal data, and sensitive data is encrypted in transit and at rest. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

07 Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain conditions.
  • Withdraw your consent to the processing of your data at any time.

08 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
